Does global shipping seem chaotic lately?

Uncertain times call for accurate forecasting. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

The global shipping industry is facing serious capacity shortages due to the knock-on effects of port congestion and bottlenecks caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. These shortages are leading to significant delays and freight price increases for overseas shipping in every industry, from food and electronics to moving household goods.

To keep up our good work we are striving to offer the best logistic service, price, and transit time to our clients.

Global demand for shipping space continues to outstrip the market. We don’t know when this will end, but we believe in working together to get everything back on track.

The shipping industry has experienced a major delay and setback owing to the pandemic and the various demand and supply shocks that accompanied it.

In addition, we advise our customers to get ahead in the same way. The unpredictability of the problem can extend beyond what is imagined.

Major roadblocks

Let’s take a look at some of the biggest roadblocks that have created a domino effect and repercussions worldwide.

In China, Yantian International Container Terminal, a major terminal for manufacturing has halted operations at full capacity. This has led to diversions to other ports, but the delays keep piling up.

Covid-19 disrupted supply and demand balance all over the globe leading to delays in shipment due to sudden fluctuations in demand. All major ports became clogged followed by an increase in traffic. In addition, the Suez Canal blockage exacerbated the problem ten-fold.

The system is overloaded and past its breaking point, experts suggest that delays could be as long as 12 months even. There is a constant crisis that seems apparent in this industry, at least for the time being.

We have continued to strengthen our global shipping practice

Global demand for goods is on the rise but getting your freight from point to point is more challenging than ever. From shipping container shortages to a crisis of crew availability, the ongoing effects of the COVID pandemic are still being felt in the shipping industry.
