TURPENTINE is a natural product obtained through the distillation of exuded crude pine resin from Pinus elliottii var. elliottii.
Applications
TURPENTINE is recommended for the flavor and fragrance industries. It is commonly used for the production of pine oil and other various products in the chemical industry, such as bornyl acetate, terpineol, camphene, limonene, pinene, terpenyl acetate, polyester resin, among others. It is also used as an odor mask and in the production of industrial and artistic paints and varnishes acting as a solvent. In the pharmaceutical industry it is used in the manufacture of ointments and as a source of substances that can be transformed into vitamins.
