Carbofen® Gold

Carbofen® Gold is a polyphenolic natural resin derived from the pine knot, a highly resinous part of the araucaria angustifolia. This thermoplastic resin is a reddish-gold flake insoluble in water. After being saponified by caustic soda (NaOH), Carbofen® Gold becomes a soap solution and soluble.

Carbofen® Gold can be used as a raw material or by itself in a variety of industrial applications, such as:

  • Air-entraining agent for concrete and mortar,
  • Anionic bitumen emulsifier for slow setting (SS-1 and SS-1H) emulsions for waterproofing applications,
  • Tackifier for adhesives and gasket sealants,
  • Foundry coatings, varnishes and inks.

We export in containers of 20ft and 40ft.
